A Morning at the Zoo!

March 30, 2007

Todays session had me a little worried only because we had already rescheduled once because of bad weather and the weather reports were iffy on what the skies were going to do this morning. It actually turned out to be great for lighting – overcast, but bright enough, and the session was a go! We had a great time walking around Henry Doorly Zoo and letting little ‘K’ lead the way! I learned some great new songs and dances as we visited the monkeys and tigers. We splashed in puddles, smelled some flowers and I learned that ‘K’ will do just about anything for Hershey Kisses! Thanks so much for the fun morning!

Today was a session I had really been looking forward to. A friend of mine has THE most beautiful girls and it just so happens she and her husband added another GORGEOUS girl to the family this month! I was blessed to be able to go and photograph this family today. The girls were in love with my backdrop and thought of it as their ’stage’! They were so cute ‘waiting in the wings’ as they called it, and dancing around. Their mommy is officially my favorite decorator now – their home was so beautiful and comfortable and now I want to change everything about my house! So, ‘J’ you want to trade services??? I will come photography your gorgeous girls anytime you want and you redecorate my home? I think I win on both fronts!!

Here is a couple of storyboards that I had to put together right away – I couldn’t help myself!

And let me tell you, I am TIRED! These guys kept me going the whole time! We had fun, even though the little ones were beginning colds and we had to stop to wipe noses every so often. I could never keep the twins straight – I could only tell the difference because of the part in their hair. Funny thing was, Dad kept confusing them too so I didn’t feel so bad!

Operation: Love ReUnited

March 13, 2007

Today I had the great priviledge of photographing a couple for Operation: Love ReUnited. M serves with the National Guard and is back on a short leave from Iraq. When he returns he will have a 4×6 photo album and DVD slideshow of the photos we took today with his beautiful wife. I was blessed to be able to help them celebrate their 3rd Anniversary today as well!

Congratulations M & T! And THANK YOU for your service and sacrifice for our country!

I love that I get to photograph adorable kids!

It’s no secret that Eastern Nebraska has had it’s worst blizzards in 10 years this past week! Well, the sun was out today and the main streets were plowed so we were a go on the session. Robb was the loving and concerned husband and offered to drive me all the way out to the session. It was pretty much smooth sailing till we got to the neighborhood an then one block from my client we got stuck! I am SO glad Robb was there or I would still be trying to unbury my vehicle from the snow drift! We got unstuck and made it to the session in good time and here are a few sneak peeks of Little Miss T and Mr. M!
Aren’t they just absolutely gorgeous kids? It was all worth it!
